Long walks & time outs

About a week ago I went on a much needed long walk with my brother. We were out walking for about 3 and a half hours and by the time we got back home I was knackered. However, I was also more relaxed and clear minded.  The weather was perfect as well, with it being slightly cloudy at times, it was still hot and humid and we still managed to capture some amazing pictures!

It's always a good idea to take a time out from life, even if your life isn't that chaotic. It can be good to just go for a nice long stroll, especially in this weather, and to just think about nothing but the view and the nature. To clear your mind of any negativity or stresses. On our walk, we decided to just follow our noses. Honestly, I am so glad I decided to go for this walk. To feel the humidity and the slight but perfect cool breeze.

We did originally decide to go a place known as "the rocks" in our town but decided to take a detour instead and ended up walking through a woodland reserve.

During our walk, I kept thinking to myself how badly I would love a camera. Since blogging, I have come to really love taking photos and editing them. Although I don't know the first thing about camera's, photography or any of the weird jargon that comes with it, I would love to learn. I feel a sense of calm whenever I take photos (that aren't selfies) and I'm glad I caught some lovely shots from my walk.

Like I said before, it's always a good idea to take some time out from life, work, school or anything that is causing you distress. It's important to have "me days" to refuel yourself and clear your mind. To think about things clearer and in a new perspective maybe and I think a long adventurous walk is a great way to do this.
